Getting started

Getting Started with Your Client Portal

Updated August 17, 2026

Quick answer

The client portal is your private workspace for working with Travis Cornelius on your website and social media. You join by email invite, fill out a business questionnaire, have a consultation, review a proposal, and then work through shared task checklists. The portal also includes a social tool for posting to your own connected accounts.

The client portal at traviscornelius.com is your private home base for working with Travis Cornelius. It is where your website and marketing projects get planned, tracked, and finished. It also includes a social posting tool you can use to publish and schedule posts on your own social accounts.

What you can do in the portal

  • Answer a short business questionnaire so Travis understands your business
  • Review your proposal after your consultation
  • Work through a shared task checklist so nothing gets lost
  • Connect your Facebook Page, Instagram, and YouTube accounts and publish or schedule posts (Pinterest is rolling out soon, and TikTok is planned for later)
  • See likes, reactions, and comments on your posts and reply to customers
  • Answer Facebook Messenger and Instagram messages from one inbox

Step 1: Accept your invite

The portal is invite-only, so you cannot sign up from the website on your own. When you and Travis start working together, you will get an email invite. The invite link is where you create your account.

Step 2: Fill out the business questionnaire

Right after signup, you will complete a business questionnaire. Your answers help Travis prepare for your consultation, so honest and complete answers save you both time. Have these things ready before you start:

  • Business details: your business name, address, phone number, and a short description of what you do
  • Services you want: for example a new website, local search help, or social media help
  • Social links: web addresses for your Facebook Page, Instagram, YouTube channel, and any other profiles you have
  • Store hours: your normal hours, plus anything unusual like seasonal closings
Not sure about an answer? Give your best guess and keep going. You and Travis will review everything together during your consultation.

Step 3: Your consultation and proposal

Once your questionnaire is in, Travis reviews it and holds a consultation with you. This is a real conversation about your goals and what will actually help your business. After the consultation, Travis builds a proposal that spells out the work for your project.

Step 4: Work through your task checklists

From there, the project turns into two checklists: tasks for you and tasks for Travis. Your tasks are usually small things only you can do, like sending photos, connecting your social accounts, or approving a design. You can always see both lists, so you know exactly where the project stands.

  1. Open the task checklist in your portal to see what is waiting on you.
  2. Complete a task and mark it done.
  3. Travis reviews each completed task and verifies it, so you both know it is truly finished.
  4. Keep an eye on Travis's checklist too, so you always know what he is working on.

Connecting your social accounts

The social tool works with Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts, and YouTube channels. Pinterest boards are rolling out soon, and TikTok is coming later. You connect each account from the Social area of your portal, using that platform's official login screen.

The portal never sees your password. It stores an encrypted access token instead, and that token is deleted the moment you disconnect. When you are ready to connect, the Connect Facebook and Instagram and Connect YouTube articles walk you through each platform step by step.

Where to get help

This is a one-person business, so you always talk to Travis directly - no ticket queues or call centers. Send questions through the contact form. You will get an answer as soon as possible, usually within one business day.
